12 Things Successful People Do That Others Don't
Success is what you believe God has designed you for and doing that thing with love and purpose
Most people would like to be successful, but what is it that makes some people reach higher levels of success than others?
There are many factors at play. For instance, some may have had a good start in life.
They had a good education, and parents who were successful too.
However, others have become highly successful against all the odds.
They didn't come from wealthy families or even have a good education. So, it must come down to something else.
What are some of their secrets?
We don't all have to become highly successful, but we could improve.
Let's take a look at what these people do that others don't...
#1. They take risks
They know that taking risks is how we learn and grow. Successful people enjoy trying new things. They can accept failure and move on quickly from it. It is this attitude of mind that makes them confident and resilient.
#2. They are willing to deal with conflict
They don't let fear hold them back. They have developed the ability to confront a problem the minute it arises. They deal with it quickly and then move on to the next thing.
#3. They are not afraid of rejection
They see rejection as a part of life. They do what they can to make something work, but if a person is not interested, they know when to let go and move on.
#4. They eat well and exercise often
They make exercise a daily habit. They choose their exercise and then stick with it. For some, it's the gym, others golf, tennis, jogging, football, walking, cycling, etc. Whatever the activity is, they do it consistently.
They eat nutritious food and drink plenty of water daily.
#5. They trust themselves
They have learned to trust themselves. Confident people develop the ability to trust themselves more as they gain experience. Past achievements and good decisions have built this belief in them.
#6. They are optimistic
They are purpose-driven people. They have thought about who they are, and the gifts they have and pursue their vision with hope and optimism.
They have a positive mindset and do not give in to negative thoughts.
#7. They surround themselves with like-minded people
They know that the people they spend the most time with have a great influence on their outlook in life, so they choose friends and business associates wisely.
#8. They manage their time well
They go to bed early, get up early, and plan their day the night before. They will do the hard stuff first and tackle the smaller tasks later in the day. They even pencil in breaks as they know the importance of good health.
#9. They write down their goals and review them regularly
This is a regular habit for them. It doesn't take them long as they have developed a routine where they write out their goals and achieve them quickly and efficiently.
#10. They ask for what they need
They don't expect someone to read their mind. If they need something, they can ask for it directly.
#11. They respect and value others
All highly successful people know the importance of good relationships. They know the value of loving, caring, and respecting others.
#12. They have faith in God
True success comes from knowing and loving God. People of no faith can succeed in work too, but the best kind of success is doing what God has designed us to do.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will."
Romans 12:2, The Bible

thanks for these. writing down goals is something I dont do so it was a good reminder. i love this definition of success by john wooden: "Success is peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you’re capable."
